Photos: Kenyan man pours hot water on wife's private parts...without any provocation

A 30-year-old mother of two from Kianamu Village in Embu County, Kenya, is nursing serious burns on her thighs and private parts after her husband poured hot water on her.

Source:Standard Media

Catherine Wakere was taken to Siakago Level Four Hospital last Wednesday, two weeks after the attack. Her upper right thigh and her private parts had started developing infections when she was taken to the hospital.

According to the hospital’s Nursing Officer Secinta Nyaga, the woman was only taken to hospital when a neighbour learnt of the cruel assault. Ms Wakere said her husband, Charles Njiru, 36, had without any provocation, poured boiling water on her. Around 11am on that fateful day, she was heating water for him when he suddenly grabbed a bowl, scooped the water and threw it on her thighs and private parts.

"He just scooped water that was boiling and splashed it on my thighs. He had aimed at my private parts, which were partly scalded," she said.

Ms Nyaga said the wound had deteriorated due to the lengthy stay without medication but her condition has since improved.

"Hers is a case of gender violence, which we reported to the police before treating her. The wound was in a very bad state since it appeared to have stayed for two weeks without being treated. If it was a fresh would it would have healed. She is now in a stable condition." she said.

Ms Wakere’s left thigh also bears another scar of a healed burn injury while she has two broken fingers, all said to have been inflicted by the husband. She had also told doctors that her fingers broke when she fell.

The hospital has also alerted the Children's Department to take care of the victim's children, a two-year-old girl and a boy, seven. Her mother, Daisy Muthoni, who is looking after her in hospital, said she was afraid of visiting her daughter’s home due to the cruelty of her husband.

News of the assault caused uproar among women leaders in Embu, with county assembly gender committee chairperson Peninah Mutua calling on police to crack down on perpetrators of gender violence. Mbeere North Assistant County Commissioner, Benjamin Birech said the man has been arrested and will be taken to court once his wife files an official complaint. He said the woman had reported being repeatedly beaten up and sexually harassed by the man.

"We will charge him with causing grievous harm. She says that the man beats her regularly. He is reported to be a habitual user of bhang and miraa," said Mr Birech, adding that the man could have been under the influence of drugs when he poured hot water on his wife."

Bill Gate Explains Why He Won’t Be Leaving His £70 Billion Fortune To His Children When He Dies

World richest man, Bill Gate who plans to leave most of his £70 billion fortune to helping the poorest when he dies, will only help his children: Jennifer, 20, Rory, 17 and Phoebe, 14 in attaining great education to kick start their respective careers.

Speaking on This Morning in an interview, where he gave the rare insight of his fortune, the Microsoft founder who feels that leaving his wealth to his children will distorts their careers, said they are also proud of his decision.

‘They are never going to be poorly off, our kids will receive a great education and some money so they are never going to be poorly off but they’ll go out and have their own career. It’s not a favour to kids to have them have huge sums of wealth. It distorts anything they might do, creating their own path. This money is dedicated to helping the poorest. They know that, they are proud of that, they go on trips with us to see the work that’s being done.’

According to reports, most of the fortune will be credited to his family charity, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which funds health and education projects around the world

Is this true? Hillary Clinton aided Boko Haram - WikiLeaks

At a time when the deadly Boko Haram group was wrecking havoc in the north east, Hilary Clinton as US Secretary State, had refused to designate the group a terror organisation.

The Speech that stirred controversy

Former President Bill Clinton, in a private fundraiser speech last year made public by Wikileaks earlier this week, told his wife’s donors that their family foundation has tried to “to save the lives of children” in Nigerian territory held by jihadist group Boko Haram.

His comments came after Democratic Presidential Nominee Hillary Clinton reportedly refused to designate the jihadist group as a Foreign Terrorist Organization (FTO) when she served as President Barack Obama’s Secretary of State.
A probe by Sen. David Vitter (R-LA) found the Clintons’ close relationship with Gilbert Chagoury, whose company pledged $1 billion to the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) in 2009, played a role in Secretary Clinton’s delay in deeming the Nigeria-based Boko Haram as a terrorist group.
Another look at the Clinton Foundation

The CGI is a non-profit organization launched by former President Bill Clinton and the Clinton Foundation in 2005.

Transcripts of former President Clinton’s speech at a campaign fundraiser for his wife were made public after being emailed to current Hillary campaign chairman John Podesta as an attachment.
The speech reportedly took place behind closed doors, right outside of Washington, D.C. back in October 2015.

Bill Clinton told donors:

“In Nigeria, for example, where Boko Haram is located, my foundation is working in the exact same areas trying to save the lives of (inaudible) children who die from diarrhea with a simple oral rehydration (inaudible) package that costs 50 cents to save the life of a child.”

Although the Clinton Foundation appears to have provided aid for some in Nigeria, it is unclear if any of the boys and girls were from territory controlled by Boko Haram, which lies in the northeastern part of the country.
Citing the United Nations Children’s Fund, known as UNICEF, Newsweek reported in July that nearly 50,000  “children are suffering from severe acute malnutrition in [northeastern Nigeria’s] Borno state, the birthplace of the militant group… Of these, 49,000—around one in five children—will die if they do not receive treatment soon as the humanitarian response to the crisis wanes.”

In September, The Associated Press (AP) learned from intelligence agency Stratfor that Boko Haram in northeastern Nigeria is “largely responsible” for a resurgence of polio, which affects children and causes severe paralysis.
The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), a nonprofit launched by the Clinton Foundation in 2010, joined the governments of Nigeria and Norway as well as non-governmental organizations, business leaders, and civil society to launch the Saving One Million Lives (SOML) effort in 2012.

“Under this program, the [Nigerian] Ministry [of Health] has set a new goal of saving one million lives of women and children and improving the quality of care in Nigeria in 2013 by focusing on evidence-based interventions expected to have the greatest impact on lives saved,” noted the Clinton Foundation in an October 2012 press release announcing SOML.
The Clinton Foundation claimed in 2012:
CHAI began its work in Nigeria in 2007 with programs including in the Niger Delta to strengthen the conflicted region’s HIV/AIDS service infrastructure, which has resulted in a 350% increase in pediatric testing and 70% increase in access to pediatric antiretroviral drugs. CHAI is now taking this vanguard approach to improve access to essential medicines for children, helping to unite businesses, NGOs, and donor organizations around this cause in support of SOML.

Former school teacher gets $75k settlement after showing up at school field trip drunk

Source: Fox 6

A former elementary school teacher,Maria Caya, who passed out after showing up drunk to a bowling alley field trip for 4th graders, is going to get a $75,000 settlement from the Wisconsin city she sued.
Caya filed a $5.5 million lawsuit against the city of Janesville last year claiming police improperly released her blood alcohol tests to the public.
Caya claimed the city caused her stress and public embarrassment by releasing her blood alcohol levels.

The city council approved the settlement Monday night.

Investigators said her blood alcohol percentage was 0.27% on the day of the field trip in June 2013 which was way higher than the legal limit for driving in Wisconsin which is 0.08%.

A staff member took Caya to the hospital after finding they found her passed out in the bowling alley bathroom. There were 8 other adults at the field trip with the students.

The school district paid her $18,000 to resign in a separate agreement. District officials justified asking her to resign and giving her the $18,000 by saying that firing her would have resulted in legal costs exceeding that payout.

Jens Jorgensen, one of the seven Janesville City Council members who voted against the settlement said:
“I think that there’s a lot of things that happened that day and I would think that a judge and jury of her peers would be able to see through all of that and make the correct decision on that.”

Photo: Police arrest Lagos banker who allegedly hired assassins to kill her estranged husband

Ogun State Police have arrested two suspected assassins  following an attempted assassination of one Mr. Tochukwu Onyebuchi on alleged order of his estranged wife, who is a staff of one of the new generation banks in Lagos. The suspects identified as Chigozie Nworie and Kingsley Ofotele, were nabbed while escaping to Anambra State with their victim’s Range Rover Jeep, a Sport Utility Vehicle(SUV).

The duo and another suspect currently at large, attacked Tochukwu Onyebuchi in his Compound at Ajah area of Lagos State using cutlass and rods before pouring acid on him. Fortunately, he survived the assassination attempt.

According to The Nation, the suspects were hired by the victim's wife, Oluchi Onyebuchi, 32, to eliminate her husband. She also supplied the weapons used in the botched assassination bid.

Parading the suspect today, before newsmen at the Eleweran Headquarters of the Police Command. the Police Commissioner in Ogun State, Ahmed Iliyasu, said the suspects were taking the SUV to Oluchi’s brother in Anambra as instructed by her when the Police in Ogun arrested the at Ijebu – Ode stretch of Sagamu – Benin expressway last Wednesday. Further investigation led to the arrest of Oluchi on Tuesday, October 25th, at Ayobo area of Lagos State, where she was found hiding in her maiden home.
"One Oluchi who is married to her husband(Tochukwu Onyebuchi) years ago, but the marriage recently has some problems which prompted the couples to separate from each other. The custody of their only child is being contested in court, but Oluchi has another plan. She arranged with the trio of Chigozie Smart Nworie, Kingsley Ikechukwu Ofotele and one other who is now at large to eliminate her husband. She arranged for the weapons – cutlass, Iron rod and acid to be used and kept somewhere in the husband’s compound in Lagos and described where the weapons were kept to the assailants.
"The suspects went there as planned, matcheted the man severally on his head and poured acid on him. It was the offensive odour that came out from the suit worn by the victim when the acid touched it that made the suspects to quickly abandon him and took away his Range Rover Jeep which the wife instructed them to take and deliver to her brother in Anambra State. Luck ran against them when the Policemen of Ogun State Command sighted the vehicle along Ijebu – Ode – Benin expressway and stopped it for a search. While searching the vehicle, blood stain was seen and the two occupants – the suspects, were unable to give satisfactory account of themselves, hence they were arrested,"  Iliyasu said.
However, while admitting that her marriage of three years is going through rough patch, Oluchi claimed she never intended to kill him and also denied hiring the trio to eliminate her husband

$15m: Patience Jonathan demands $200m from EFCC

Former first lady Patience Jonathan has demanded that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) pay her $200million for infringing on her rights when it froze the $15m in her account.

Patience made the claims through her lawyer Granville Abibo at a Federal High Court in Lagos on Wednesday, October 26.

Premium Times reports through the News Agency of Nigeria that Patience is also praying that the court to issue an order discharging the freezing order and restraining the EFCC and its agent from further placing a freezing order on the said accounts.
The court fixed December 7, 2016 for the hearing of the case filed by Patience against the anti-corruption body seeking to unfreeze her accounts.

Tied as respondents in the suit are EFCC, Skye Bank and Waripama-Owei Dudafa, a former Special Assistant to Patience’s husband; ex-President Goodluck Jonathan.
Premium Times reports that when the case was called on Wednesday, EFCC’s counsel Rotimi Oyedepo informed the judge that the case was coming up for the first time and some of the respondents had yet to be served with the court’s processes.
As a result, he said, the case was not yet “ripe for hearing” because he has also just received the processes on October 19 and is yet to file a response.

Without a contested by counsel to the plaintiff Abibo, Justice Babs Kuewumi fixed December 7 for hearing.

Meanwhile, there was a mild drama at the court on Wednesday when a group of women reportedly rented by Patience Jonathan took over the premises to protest against EFCC’s treatment of the ex-first lady.

The women arrived early and waited for the court proceedings to start.
