We all know how well US president Donald Trump is with the blue bird, well, he seems to have shot himself in the foot this time.

He took to Twitter to congratulate the winner in Tuesday's Alabama Republican primary runoff; but here's the twist, Trump has always been vocal about the loser in the primaries, incumbent Sen. Luther Strange, even traveling to Huntsville Alabama for his campaign.

Now, the tweet savvy President Donald Trump deleted at least three tweets in which he had previously backed Sen. Luther Strange for the win.

TIGER WOODS CONSIDERING QUITING COMPETITIVE GOLF

Tiger Woods has admitted that he may not be found playing competitive golf again.

The 41-year old's career has been hit with a myriad of injuries that affected his play, as well as the controversy surrounding his performance in the sport.

When asked on the eve of the President's Cup whether he sees a scenario where he did not return to competitive golf, Woods said: “Yeah, definitely. I don’t know what my future holds for me. As I’ve told you guys, I’m hitting 60-yard shots. I didn’t know if I was going to be able to be here, because I couldn’t ride in a cart. The bouncing hurt too much. That’s all gone now, which is fantastic.”

Leading contemporary and financial magazine, Forbes has released a list of the best and worst cities for drivers. And guess guess, Lagos made the list as the third worst city to drive in, no surprise there, right?

FAYOSE DECLARES INTENTION TO DEFEAT BUHARI, PARTY LEADERS ABSENT

It's no longer news that Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose has declared his intention to run for the presidency come 2019. What is, however, news is that he has vowed to defeat incumbent President Buhari in a free and fair election, siting instances of his famous gubernatorial victories were he has defeated former incumbents to gain power.

Worthy of note is that while Fayose declared his intention, there was no relevant PDP leader in sight causing many to question the authenticity of his ambition.

Fayose declared: “Our country is faced with myriads of problems, our economy that was the fastest growing in Africa when our party was in power has gone comatose with the present managers who are completely clueless,”

He also complained about the fact that Nigeria is now more than divided along ethnic, regional, and religious lines, which he claimed is the fault of the ruling All Progressive Congress and President Buhari: “Most worrisome is the fact that our country is now more divided than ever before with the unity of the country being threatened due to nepotism, religious bigotry, and favoritism of the present government,”

Concerning the PDP's earlier stance of zoning the presidential ticket to the North, the Ekiti State governor had this to say: “I challenged the North to come out with their candidates. I want to challenge all of them to the field. What are you afraid of? Come out. I [have thrown] my hat in the ring. Let them come and face me” .

WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO ICEPRINCE?

There was a time precisely in the year 2014 when we were all tired of the pieces of shit Olamide and his cohorts were feeding us. Music filled with slangs, obscene and lewd lyrics, Olamide was singing for the streets and this time we were not buying it. We were still listening to it, though, since he was the regular guy always dropping hits. Three albums in a row since 2011.

The only alternative we had was Ice Prince. Ice Prince was starting to fill in for Young Denzl then. M.I was busy with business stuff, recording his third studio album and most importantly managing Chocolate City since he was the vice-chairman. The label was in turmoil then, Jesse Jagz and Brymo had left, new signees were not living up to to the billing, so all eyes were on Ice Prince. He didn’t disappoint, though. He dropped cool music, soothing to the ears. High-quality rap devoid of slangs and lewd language. He released N-Word which was produced by Don Jazzy. Damn! We felt it on a spiritual level. There was a point where Ice Prince said, “I made it to the top, they said it’s ILLUMINATI, I’m hanging in your city in my new BUGATTI”. Too much sauce!

He later engaged the services of South African rapper, AKA on the remix who threw shots at the then President, Goodluck Jonathan when he said “It’s going to take more than Goodluck to bring the girls back”(Referring to the Chibok girls saga). We were happy Ice Prince had rediscovered his form. It was also good news as we expected Ice Prince to represent Nigeria well when MTV Base draws out its list of Best African Rappers. Ice Prince showed off his versatility on his next single “That Could Be Us”(produced by Legendury Beatz), a hit track that resonated well in the hearts of music lovers.

In 2015, Ice Prince made the news when he met Jay-Z. It was the biggest move then when everyone was seeking to go international. Waoh! That picture with Jay-Z surprised everyone. Nobody saw it coming. One of the biggest influencers in World Music! Ice Prince felt on top of the World. A record deal with ROC Nation was milling, he would be the first African to totally do a crossover to the International Music World. He would also spearhead Jay-Z’s project to Africa to unearth more talents. Everything was falling in place for Ice Prince. However, few years after, it seems that picture with Jay-Z was a photoshop trick. The deal with ROC Nation hasn’t happened yet, Tiwa Savage got signed ahead of him and to make matters worse, Ice Prince has gone off the radar, his album didn’t make waves as expected, no hit songs. An all-time low which has seen fast-rising acts like Lil Kesh go above him. There was a case where at an Event, Ice Prince was asked to perform before Lil Kesh which is a big insult considering the fact that the bigger artiste performs last and closes the show.
Recently, during the Mr Eazi controversy, a Twitter user tweeted of Ice Prince decline by saying “Someone said you can blow in Nigeria, unblow and go back to upcoming artiste. Lmao, and it’s true oh. Mr Eazi should ask Ice Prince.”

So what made Ice Prince fall from the ladder? The controversy with his girlfriend, Maima? Ice Prince still using the regular old sounds that brought him fame then? PDP kicks against Fayose's presidential ambition

Chairman of the PDP Governors' Forum, and Ekiti State governor, Ayodele Fayose's running to become president of Nigeria come 2019 has hit a roadblock as the PDP has zoned the presidential ticket to the North.

Dayo Adeyeye, the publicity secretary of the People's Democratic Party said in a statement that Fayose was part of the meeting which held at its national secretariat in Abuja where it was agreed that the party was going to zone its presidential candidate to the North, obviously to allow for a major face off against incumbent President Buhari.

Going by the PDP's current stance we now watch to see the next move of Fayose, will he be switching allegiance to another party? Or will he drop his bid to become president?

Tiwa Savage makes BBC 100 Women List

Mavin first lady and songstress Tiwa Savage has made it to the 2017 BBC 100 Women List - A list of 100 inspirational and innovative women.

The women who made the list will be part of the 100 Women Challenge- split into four teams- sharing their experiences and creating innovative ways to tackle topical issues such as: The glass ceiling, Female illiteracy, Street harassment and Sexism in sport.

Tiwa is one of eight African women recognized for their works including the Liberian president, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. Other countries that made the global list include Kenya, Morocco, Senegal and Zimbabwe.

"Azuka how dare you even say I lied!" Tonto Dikeh lashes out on journalist Azuka Ogujiuba

It's always one news or another on the Nigerian media space, and today is no different.

Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh has lashed out on journalist Azuka Ogujiuba for accusing her of lying about her failed marriage and the messy divorce that ensued.

We all know Azuka, the now famous journalist responsible for the exclusive interviews with Tiwa Savage - during her seperation with husband, TBillz; and then the interview with Tonto Dikeh, and ex husband Olakunle Churchill.

Well Tonto is now alleging that Azuka must have collected huge sums of money as bribe from her ex husband(Churchill) in other to sway the news in his favour. Now Azuka was a guest on Linda Ikeji TV's Hot Topics where she said to have video evidence to back up her claims, which she arrived at after meeting with both Tonto and her ex-husband.

Part of Tonto's post on Instagram read: "Azuka how dare you even say I lied! Where you there!? Where you present in any of the incidences that occurred? Did you ever speak to any of my family that naturally would have taken sides with me just as his took sides with him."

FG declares Monday public holiday to mark Independence

The Minister of Interior, Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd.) on behalf of the Federal government has declared Monday, October 2, 2017, as a public holiday to celebrate Nigeria at 57.

In a statement released to the media, the Minister congratulated Nigerians on the anniversary. He urged Nigerians to sustain the collective efforts towards maintaining and strengthening the unity of the country.

This year, Nigeria's independence day celebration falls on Sunday, 1st October. As is the common practice, the holiday has been shifted to Monday 2nd to allow for even participation.
